What’s Your EQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient)?

Your EQ is 120

You usually have it going on emotionally, but roadblocks tend to land you on your butt.

On an average day, you’re quite happy, together, and content. You live your life well.
Your emotions aren’t always stable, but you can go along with the ups and downs pretty well.

You tend to be motivated, energetic, focused, and level headed.
You see the world pretty rationally, and you don’t tend to over dramatize things. When things are bad, you know they eventually have to get better.

Getting A+ For Your Paper

Have you ever heard about any writing company that provides custom research papers writing service? The best part of the service for me after reading about the company in their website is their ability to write according to your own writing style. Plus their experienced professional writers will write the paper according to your specification and requirements.

Personally if I were to further studies again, and have to write biography term paper for example and could be ensured an A+, I wouldn’t mind paying for their service.

After all finding a suitable term paper topic is hard enough, what more to write an excellent, thorough, well researched academic paper that will give me an overall great result for that semester.

Now I wonder whether I have what it takes to further studies, with the demand of work, life and family..sigh!

How To Handle Anger

How do you handle anger? I know some people who opt for a quiet walk alone until the angry feeling in them subside and come back and settle the issue. I also know few people who handle their anger by swearing, cursing and throwing things (and later regret the action).

I found a site that tells about a book: Parents Do Make A Difference: How to Raise Kids with Solid Character, Strong Minds, and Caring Hearts written for parents who want to handle anger issue with their children. The site lists down 6 ideas of the author on how to teach the kids to handle their anger.

I like the first and the second step. As a parent we have to show good example on how we as adult handle the situation which make us angry. Only then our children will learn on how to handle anger when forced to face the crisis. The second step is more like teaching the kids who throw tantrum and express their anger by yelling and screaming on the floor. What the parents could do is to let the child knows that things could only be settled once she/he calms down.

I’m sure this ideas would also help to train angry adults as well..haha! If you could muster the guts and duck the thrown things first..hehe!

How To Sell Better?

Have you ever wish that you could sell better?

And does women sell better to other women? And if that is true, why? I was reading online when I found this article from MarketingProfs Daily Fix.

Quoting what she says in her site,

“Saleswomen don’t have some secret that salesmen will never know, they may just be more naturally wired to allow for a longer, relationship-based purchasing process.”

I think that’s very true. In my experience of selling handcrafted work, conducting classes and selling wedding items online, I noticed that women clients are more interested to proceed with the sale when there is some kind of personal touch to it. Most of my clients turn out to be friends just by the conversation we had through phone, email and personal visits. Some even recommended my services to their relatives and friends and my ex students even joined the next class I conducted.

I know in working world, people always say that never take it personal with your clients. But I beg to differ that sometimes spending the time to get to know more about your clients will lead to bigger and continuous sales. Plus aside from the returning customers, you get to keep all the contacts and widen your business network as well.

Changing Job?

I’m thinking of migrating. Seriously, perhaps a change in place and new start in life will bring more opportunity to grow. Anywhere would be fine as long as it has high speed Internet service..hehe!

Emm..what about London? What kind of jobs they might have for foreigner like me over there?

logo_gumtree.gif

If you are thinking of finding jobs in London, check out GumTree.com. Yes, you heard me right the first time. I found few suitable position but still thinking whether they will accept foreigner like me for executive job. For cleaners maybe they will do..huh!

I think I will like the collide of two worlds in London. In certain part of the city it will be like going back to the medieval time which I love to read in historical romantic fiction. But of course if I were to migrate there I need to look for London jobs opportunity.

This customer service representative position sounds good with a take home salary of £19k per year. But I really have to research on how much the rent and other living cost might take. Oh, BTW with the directory, you will also find flat for rent, stuffs for sale, car for sale etc. You can even advertise for flatmate if you need one.

Oh, what about the cost for high speed Internet availability in London? Anyone care to comment?

Need Online Tutor?

online-tutoring.gif

My niece is going to sit for SPM exam this year. In my country it is a major exam that those high school students (in Form 5) sit before they get a place to further their studies in local University, private college or other undergraduate institutions.

Of course there is another exam called STPM (those in Form 6 - lower and upper sit for) for those who wish to skip the 2-year matriculation or Pre U (the local equivalent of A Level) and go straight to degree level.

So my sister in law has been very busy since last year chauffeuring the kid from the school to tuition center for tutoring, to seminar and workshops on how to tackle the exam questions and homework help.

For once I am grateful that I am yet to undergo all that as a parent. Even if I will be one day, I hope by that time there will be other option to tutor my child since I really hate driving to and fro.

There is a website that offers online tutoring 24×7 for varieties of subjects like Math, Biology, English and even SAT and TOEFL. I’m sure those who really suck in Algebra will find such help as a blessing. With Math problem, sometimes you are just stuck in the middle of the calculation to get the final answer that you need someone who knows to help you through.

If you need tutoring for English for example, this is the place that you should go for. You will get a customized program that suits each individual student. So perhaps if you feel that you need someone to tutor you on grammar, edit your sentence structure and help in you in writing the essays,TutorVista.com has the answer to it.

Overcoming Depression

I was reading the forum on financial info yesterday when I came across a post about a woman who has been in big debt because of her disability to lead a normal life - taking a normal job, pay rent and debt on time since she has been treated for chronic depression.

I realized that this issue of depression is really serious. We might say that this person and that are having depression problem but sometimes we tend to take it lightly until it strikes one that close to us.

I found this entry Top 10 Tips to Overcome Depression as refreshing. Communication with someone you trust and will never judge your problem as a weakness in you would certainly help overcoming the depression problem.

If you are looking for tools or worksheet to cope with your anger which lead to depression, check out this site: Tools for Anger Work-Out. Now it makes sense to me why some people feel really depressed during holiday season. It is because they believe that holiday should be the happiest time or season in their life and yet when this becomes an irrational belief as the holiday turns out bad, it just make them feel very sad, angry and depressed.

Feeling Stressed?

Ever wonder why men and women cope with stress differently? I don’t want to bog you down with all the medical explanation, but if you must know, read this article - Why Men and Women Handle Stress Differently.

Now I know why women who are stressed always cry or try to be super nurturing to others in order to cope with their stressful situation. Or when a man throw his temper when he couldn’t take the pressure anymore.

Quoting from the site:

“Self-sacrifice in relationships is how many women enter stress.”

“Achieving a winning performance at all costs is how many men enter stress.”

So when the next time you see a woman crying her heart out and starting to blab all her life story, please understand that it is just a way for her to blow the steam off from her stressful heart. Same with men finding escape activity like round of golf or video game to mend their wounded feeling.

Be A Listener

I found one article I really like today, How To Build Friendships With Good Listening Skills. I wonder how many of us really listen to our friend, spouse, family and most importantly your loved ones whenever they come to you with their story.

light_red.jpg

Sometimes in the attempt to listen, we just can’t wait for the person to stop talking and start rambling about ourselves. That’s not what a good listener will do.

In the end you just hear all the rants and babble, worse still in your crazy struggle to talk back you miss all the important points that the other person is hurling out.

Next time when she comes to you with her hurt story of the day, stop your traffic thoughts and listen, let the vehicle of her emotion at the other side of the light pass by.

She doesn’t need your advice or action plan, she just need you to listen.
