On the eve of Chinese New Year, I bought a 20% off Chrysanthemum plant at a local store. The plant was blooming with bright yellow flowers and I thought what the heck, it’s quite cheap and I never have a Chrysanthemum plant before..hahaha..

Now the plant is wilting, maybe it doesn’t have enough water or sunlight, I dont know. I have no idea what’s wrong with it. It says that it needs full sunlight, but with rainy season at my place I doubt that leaving it outside will do it any good. So I put in a nice pot on the coffee table near my sliding door which gets daylight. But it’s not looking any good either. So today, I picked out 2 flowers which by the way will drop anyhow and was thinking of brewing my own Chrysanthemum tea..hahaha..so much for home remedy.

Looking around for info on brewing herbal tea, I found this site. Check it out. Though it does not have specific topic on how to brew Chrysanthemum tea, but at least I learn a thing or two about different type of teas.

Now, I still have to figure out what to do with the Chrysanthemum I picked. Should I bake it in the oven to make it dry?

Whenever I went out, I always like to try new places to dine. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a fine dining restaurant, hawker stalls or new fast food chain, but I like to try new food and new hanging out place.

This Thai fried rice was found at the same shopping mall where I posted about the flea market before. It was named after the restaurant so I am not sure whether the recipe is authentic to the shop or there is really such dish in Thailand.

For those journeying to Thailand soon and love to eat, maybe you should try your hand in Thai cooking as well. I found this site which offers Thai Cookery Course. The list of items they are going to teach you how to cook just sound yummy..I’m not sure whether such cookery lesson is available locally.

I think people associate comfort food with food that when they eat it, it will give them the feeling of security, good vibes and happiness. Reading the definition of comfort food in Wikipedia makes me think whether I have the same definition of comfort food.

For me comfort food is food that reminisce the good old time, happy memories of my life. Food that when you eat them, will make you think of those happy days when you are much, much younger, the time when your mom makes the dishes for you it makes you think of the simple, easy life, just you and the bowl of that instant noodle..hehehe..

Well maybe that’s my kind of definition, but check this out, people all around the world have their own recipes of comfort food. Check also this site. It has bigger picture of the food, and I just love good food picture.

While you are browsing, feel good to drop by this site. BTW, the picture of the satay set is from my own food picture collections. Google about satay if you are not from my side of the world..haha..

Whenever I was away and have to stay at the hotel, I always hope that the breakfast serves omelette, best still if they have omelette chef at the egg counter. I can ask the man to make omelette with everything but no onion in it, put chilli sauce and yummy, it goes in my tummy…hahahha!

For those who don’t have the chance to stay in hotel and be served with omelette for breakfast, perhaps you can be your own chef and try this recipe: Omelette 101.

You should also check this site because it has pictures with step by step instructions.
