I feel like cooking Thai food today and since I am not sure what I can come out with the ingredients in my freezer, I browse through the Internet to find a relevant Thai recipes.

Here is one site I stumbled upon – Adventures in Thai Cooking & Travel. It is a site belongs to Kasma Loha-unchit, a cookbook author and Thai cooking teacher.

If you are new to Thai cooking, make sure you read through the ingredients usually used in Thai cooking. For example, one of the most commonly used seafood-based chilli pastes in Thai cooking is nahm prik pow, or literally “roasted chilli paste”. I haven’t tried cooking with this chilli paste yet but I have heard about it.

After searching the recipes index, I think what I can manage to make today is steamed fish. Check out the recipe and share with me your feedback after you try it at home..hehe!

Somehow I am lost for recipes to cook. Even worse when I am not sure what to have for dinner or lunch. If only we don’t need to eat that often..haha! Like a friend of mine used to say, life would be easier if all the food comes in pills and one swallow will make us feel full for hours.

Well, if you are looking for frugal and easy ways to have dinner, check out this article: Five quick and healthy dinners with rotisserie chicken.

Like the article says, the tips to quick cooking is by utilizing whatever convenience foods available in the market for very quick, healthful dinner preparations.

I am yet to find some Asian recipes that really tasty and quick. If you know any recipe which could help solve my eating and cooking problem, feel free to share, OK!

So when I found this online magazine, I think I would love to share the useful tips I found with the rest of the readers. For example if you are new in the kitchen, this article on thinking like a chef would be very helpful. Cooking is not really that hard once you know the tips and the tricks.

And if you are only cooking for two, this tips might help on what to do with the leftover – tips for two.

Have fun in the kitchen! A full stomach leads to a happy heart.

There is one local restaurant that serves Piri-Piri chicken which I love so much.

I bought the sauce and the dried herbs in attempt to make my own Piri-Piri chicken but all it ends up is on my eggs and chicken burger for late night supper. Well, at least I still make use of the store-bought Piri-Piri sauce…haha!

So if you never heard about Piri-Piri, it is actually a Portuguese name for the African bird’s-eye chili. But some said Piri-Piri comes from Swahili language.

So if you want to learn more, check out this site I found about the author’s trip to Portugal in search of the great chili, Piri-Piri.

There is also one site which gives the basic idea on how to marinade Piri-Piri Chicken.

Or if you are in the UK, join the chili cookery class to add a spicy knowledge into your cooking treasure.

What I mean here is nothing to do with Dual Core processor as in Intel processor. It’s the food processor that I’ve been eyeing.

My dry mill has been broken and I’m left with my pestle and mortar to pound the garlic and ginger to marinade chickens.

I’ve been planning to cook chicken rice this week but it was broken, so no chicken rice, heh!

Look how sleek it is, as per description on the SurLaTable.com website,

“ChopperGreat as a wet spice grinder for making Jamaican jerk blends.

Sealed bowl lets you chop solids like herbs, meat and hazelnuts as well as mix liquids like soup.”

I would love to have this soon, maybe with my earnings from PPP, I would be able to buy it, it’s just around $40..haha!

Come think of it, I can make my homemade mushroom soup using this food processor too.

I tried cooking healthy food for a while about 6 months ago when I hired a personal trainer for my work out regime at the fitness club. Not that I need to lose or gain weight, it’s just that I need to find my strength and stamina back in life. It works fine for a while but then laziness started to crowd itself and I dined out like normal.

Sometimes even though we know that outside food is bad for health but with time constraint we have no choice but to feed ourselves with those unhealthy meals. Constant trips to fast food chains just make whatever effort I put in healthy living flew right out the window.

So now I’m trying to go back right in healthy cooking track and find as many easy recipes for healthy meals as possible.

I think this The World’s Healthiest Food site is great. Their garlic shrimp salad just look yummy and the instructions are not that difficult to try.

If you need more reason to cook healthily, read this article about how Healthy Recipes Can Significantly Improve Your Health, And Let You Eat Anything You Want.

And if you’re buying it for me, make sure you buy the compact design since I have a very limited space in my kitchen. I would love to have a bread maker with a removable non-stick pan, so that it’ll be easier for me to detach the lid to clean it.

Too demanding? No worries, I’ll bake some great breads for you everyday, from bread rolls, pizza bases, pasta dough, croissants, scones and cakes (provided I have ample time apart from writing paid posts for my blog..haha)
