Bus Trip, Anyone?

I think I haven’t been on a bus for ages, what more a bus excursion anywhere. The last was maybe when I was 10 or 11, on a school trip to the capital city..heh!

One of these days, I think I will make it a point to go somewhere and use the hop-on, hop-off bus tour that the city might have. (I had that chance in Singapore but missed it)

One major benefit of taking such bus trip would be the ability to capture as much pictures from the top-deck seating without worrying that I will get lost and get stranded in an unknown street. (I do hate driving in unfamiliar territory anyway..huhu!)

If you are handling a large group tour to New York for instance, try bus charter services like New York Bus Charters.

They have video and audio capabilities, PA systems, reclining seats and lavatory in their vehicles. To ensure comfort, all their vehicles are clean and well maintained. The buses are all equipped with the most modern communication equipment in order to keep in contact with their 24-hour dispatch operation, thus providing reliability and on time services.

The company could provide transportation for your group to amusement parks, conventions, trade shows, day trips, Atlantic City, tailored custom tours and hotels or transfers between airports. Go on, hop on the bus and make your trip a memorable one!

3D Decoupage Card

As I was browsing the women forum on the topic of craft, I read about 3D decoupage. I found a website that shares on how to decorate hand made card with 3D decoupage technique. It is different than the usual decoupage technique I did on tin or wood. So here it goes - 3D decoupage on card.

It is important that we have the printed decoupage sheet since the picture will be glued layer by layer, giving the 3 dimensional effect.

Above is the picture of the completed card.

Are You The Casino Experts?

*This is a paid advertisement*

In the event of current economic downturn, people are gambling whatever they have in the effort to survive. If you think you have the luck and would like to win big bucks with less sweat and turmoil, perhaps reading this online casino guide could bring better luck (and understanding).

You don’t have to travel as far as Vegas to play all these 3 reel, 5 reel, 7 reel single and multi-pay line slots, instead you can do that in front of your PC online. Super Slots Online Casino for example offers a progressive Jackpot over $700,000 and gives a welcome bonus up to $300 for free. On the other hand, Rushmore Online Casino has been voted as the top online casino for 3 consecutive year of 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Check out the Online Casino Bluebook as it provides online guide to popular online casinos. The online casinos mentioned above are among the best 10 casinos online as reviewed by experienced online players. Those online casinos are ranked by bonus size, payout percentage, customer service, game features, number of games, software graphics and ease of use.

And since you will be gambling virtually, you definitely have to take into consideration which online casino has good customer support and better user friendly features. Oh, and don’t forget, choose the one with speedy payout and many continuous promotions..heh!

Books

Remember Me? - Sophie Kinsella

I bought this book like 4 months ago, but till this date I still haven’t read even a page out of it..sigh! Must find some time to read the book. I never read the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella, but after reading the back cover of this book, it makes me interested.

Read the review from Publishers Weekly:

Shopaholic powerhouse Kinsella delights again with her latest, a winning if unoriginal tale of amnesia striking an ambitious shrew and changing her life for the better.

After taking a nasty bump on the head, Lexi Smart awakens in a hospital convinced that it’s 2004 and that she’s just missed her father’s funeral. It’s actually three years later, and she no longer has crooked teeth, frizzy hair and a loser boyfriend.

Initially wowed by what she’s become—a gorgeous, cut-throat businesswoman—Lexi soon finds herself attempting to figure out how it happened. As her personality change and lost memory threaten her job, Lexi tries to dredge up some chemistry with her handsome albeit priggish husband, Eric, though the effort is unnecessary with Eric’s colleague Jon, who tells Lexi that she was about to leave Eric for him.

Amnesia tales may be old hat, but Kinsella keeps things fresh and frothy with workplace politicking, romantic intrigue and a vibrant (though sometimes caricatured) cast. Though the happy ending won’t come as a surprise, readers will be rooting for Lexi all along.

What’s Your Favorite Perfume?

For those who love perfume and like to collect them, you can check out this perfume blog to see the reviews of several perfume in the market. You can even learn a thing or two about the perfume’s history like the one wrote on Chanel No.5.

As for me, I like all kind of perfume, be it fruity like DKNY Red Delicious or rose-like smell like Blvgari or Paul Smith. But somehow I can’t stand classic smell like Chanel No.5..hehe! Just like the reviewer said, some people consider it as ‘old lady’ smell which in a way is an insulting remark..huhu!

Reading through the reviewer’s experience with the latest version of Chanel No.5, it makes me wonder whether I might like it now. Quoted from the perfume blog:

“I don’t know if time has mellowed the blast of aldehydes, or what, I just know that this version is beautiful from start to finish. The notes are blended so well that I can’t single anything out. It is just it’s own beautiful thing that changes and surprises me the whole time I’m wearing it.”

Next time I go to shopping mall, I will go to the perfume counter and check it myself..heh!

Movies

Valkyrie

I am not really into war movie, but I watch almost all movies with Tom Cruise in it..heh!

Check out the synopsis taken from Fandango.com:

At the absolute height of World War II, German generals hatch a daring plan to assassinate Adolf Hitler and effectively render the German war machine impotent.

Directed by Bryan Singer, Valkyrie stars Tom Cruise as Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, the real-life mastermind behind the elaborate plot known as Project Valkyrie: a plan to assassinate Hitler and overthrow his government from the inside.

Stauffenberg has been a loyal soldier and an asset to the Reich for his entire military career, but after losing an eye, a hand, and three fingers in an Allied bombing, he reaches a breaking point. The destructive madness that his country is unleashing on the world has become too terrible for the colonel to stand silent. He joins the resistance movement - a treasonous act, punishable by death and risks his life and the life of his family for the chance to change history.

Comprised of high-ranking officials working in secret, the German Resistance has access to the inner workings of the government and military, putting them in the perfect position to dispatch the dictator and then use his own official contingency plan to seize power - before the army, the S.S., and loyal party members can put someone just as diabolical in the Führer’s place.
