Have you heard about the relation between eating chocolate and having acne? It’s a myth!
Well, for years I personally believed it until recently when adult acne struck rampantly on my face after I get over my chocolate eating habit.
Why does it has to happen when at this age I should be having a flawless face (after so many years of enduring adolescent acne) to see the world..huhu!

There are many factors that might lead to acne problem. One of them is definitely hygiene.
But if you have been following the cleaning, toning and moisturizing regime as diligently as you should, maybe some other factors play the role in wrecking the surface of your face.
Stress and hormone level also create those inflamed pustules on your face. ( I can vouch for that because that’s what I’m suffering lately..damn!) Check out the explanation about the correlation of stress and hormone here.
It is suggested that we should take some time to relax and most importantly to give our body at least 7 hours of sleep in order to maintain good skin health.
Even if you are a night owl like me, sleep late and get up late so that your skin will have enough rest to regenerate. Not to mention that a well-rested body will have a strong immune system that could fight infection.
Therefore eventhough a good night sleep wouldn’t help to prevent acne attack altogether, it could help heal the lesions faster.
I feel better knowing more in details about this acne problem. I will try to change my lifestyle to see whether it will combat all those blackhead and angry nodules on my face..sigh!
