If you feel like giving out something to charity, this is your chance to join blogathon on charity related matter. A good hearted person by the name of Pelf has came out with a blog called The Giving Hands to create awareness from the public especially about a handicap service centre in Penang which goes by the name of Eden Handicap Service Centre.

Since this centre is an independent non-profit charity organisation, they are funded entirely by generous contribution of the society. I have read on the website about their plea to get around RM70,000 in order to get a van that would facilitate the needs of the disabled children currently in their Children Hostel.
At the moment, they need to send these children to hospital for treatment, to school and for recreation. They only have a car and the children have to be carried by the staff of the centre into the car. If only they could get the van with a specially equipped wheelchair lift that will be easily assessable to the wheelchair-bound children, they could save a lot of time and energy and less risk of injury.
The blog owner of The Giving Hands is also a PR Representative of The Eye Digest. By reading the website, I found new information about many age related eye diseases such as cataract, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
So if you feel that you have the time and money to contribute for this good cause, join the Giving Hands to help Eden Handicap Service Centre. Your generosity of heart will go a long way towards a more meaningful life of the disabled people.
