I hate the time when any waiter at the restaurant I went to ruined my dining experience. As I always treasure the time I spend dining out and not to say the large bill that comes with it, I expect the service to be good as well. Even when the food was not up to my expectation, at least the waiter should be tolerable.
Maybe it’s time that people who operates restaurant to see restaurant waitstaff training DVD produced by Vat19.com.
In my country, when it comes to local dining place, don’t really expect to get a good service from the waiters. They are either not interested to serve you or they just don’t really know what is going on. However from my experience if you go to a better and classy restaurant you can expect things to be a little bit different.
I never bother to ask the waiter what’s on the menu or even ask for any good recommendation for the food listed on the menu as I know that most of them never even taste the food. When I see the face of the waiter as young as high school leaver I quickly glance through the menu and made my own judgment whether the food will taste as nice as it looks on the menu (if they have the picture to show).
I suggest for those school leavers who are too eager to earn money by waiting at the table and spoil my mood for the day to spend their well-earned waiting salary on a good Rules of the Road-Driver’s Ed DVD. At least it will help them to be a better driver than a waiter in the future,huh!
I’m sorry I know I’m harsh today, I’m still pissed off at the waiter at the restaurant I went for lunch just now.
