If you want to go somewhere locally in Malaysia, then I suggest that you go to Langkawi island. For most of the locals you will say that it’s too common but try going to any of the 5 star resorts located by the shore of the island and you will feel the difference.
For me, Langkawi is an island full of fables. From the legendary wrongly accused maiden of Mahsuri, to the story of fighting friends of Telaga Air Hangat and the folklore of a man turned to mountain of Gunung Mat Chincang, you can have it all at Langkawi.
But nothing can beats the sandy beach and blue sky. If you don’t feel like sight seeing, just enjoy your sunbathing day at the beach and let the serene surrounding envelopes you in the fresh breath of Langkawi island. Seriously, you will feel much better before you were there and the trip to the island will be a money well spent.
