Photograph Your Pet

Pets are lovable creatures. Their antics make you smile on a bad day (at least for those who don’t have child), otherwise your child will take the place.

But I found it is so hard to photograph them well. Like children, they move non stop except when they are sleeping. So I’ve decided to find tips on the Internet on how to take better picture of pets. There are quite a number of sites which are useful, one particular have great pictures of pets’ poses.

In summary, there are few tips you have to know such as get to know the pet’s personality, take the picture on the same level of your pets, mix up your framing, consider your lighting, try to freeze the action and include people in your playful attempt of taking a great shot of your beloved pet.

Check also another great site on pet-ography. There is also a link to the late Oolong the bunny and see how the squirrels became their own photographers. A brief info on how to tackle pet photography is also available here.

  1. Patience is a virtue when it comes to working with animals. Especially when working with your own pet, keep your camera handy all the time, until you get the shot you were looking for. Often the critter be be doing that cute thing that you love and you run to get the camera, check for a memory card, turn it on run back to the living room only to find the moment has passed. Be ready to shoot when your pet is ready for you to.
