Gathering The Fruits of Success

When I decided to quit my job and started my wedding crafts business online about a year ago, I was sceptical on how well my Internet marketing would work. My wedding crafts business started as a home based business and in the beginning only close friends were aware of my business existence. I couldn’t afford to hire any graphics designer so I browse through for free template and soon bungatelur.com were up and running. Though it started as a humble beginning but at least I work something out. Then I started to tell friends about my website and ask them to link their sites to mine.

Over the time, I accepted comments and feedback from people on how to improve my website. I invested certain amount of money to buy better digital camera in order to be able to take better pictures of my hand-made wedding crafts. I visited forums, read through useful materials on the Internet and discussed with friends who understand about Internet marketing. I bought books on marketing, branding, entrepreneurship and tried to implement the concept into my online business.

Now almost a year since I launched my online business marketing, most of the clients never believe that my business is operated from home as they thought that I have a big shop with few helpers. Thanks to the borderless Internet connection, my clients were not restricted to locals only. I had clients from Ireland, UK and another upcoming wedding from Australia. Through the website I was able to advertise ongoing activity such as craft making class and attracted students from all range of people who share the same passion in crafts as I do.

With all these current booming of paid to blog, adsense, creamaid etc, I am thinking to add DIY column, e-zine and crafts related forum to enhance the number of visitors into my business site. At least I can try out the tips in Gather Success which I think very beneficial for Internet marketing strategy.
